R E S O U R C E S

We are committed to connecting people with resources. Gaps left by government have created an overwhelming need for localized community action and response. For generations, people have filled this need with community based actions and initiatives. Our aim as an organization is to uplift resources that already exist and make them more accessible.

Below is the resulting database of resources we have collected. Please submit any resources you are aware of on our Contact Us page!

Racial Justice Organizing - How Educators can Respond to Nationwide Uprisings

United States

The Racial Justice Organizing Committee is a group of activists and advocates, working towards the abolition of white supremacy and racism in all of the ways it presents in our communities and schools. The goal of racial justice is not to simply reform our current society; the goal is to uproot white supremacy and plant the seeds for liberation and empowerment that will lead to a more just and equitable world. Our Ten Demands for Radical Education Transformation are foundational towards the vision of racial justice. The 10 Demands, as well as the larger fight for racial justice, will be achieved through purposeful action, building and strengthening relationships between all stakeholders, and continued self-reflection and education.

This guide is an evolving list of resources for all age levels from Early Childhood through adult. These resources are being compiled and curated by the Racial Justice Committee and the Philly Liberatory Academics Hub. They help educators frame nationwide uprisings in ways that address the emotional needs of students and families including general resources for talking about race and background information about protesting, policing and resistance.
